Description
In this exciting visual journey through time, history and the present go hand in hand. Old, unique archival photos are paired with newly taken photos of the same locations. Karl Kadhammar has been developing this interplay on his Instagram page for many years; now he’s releasing a long-awaited book featuring his very best pairings. There is always something to discover in Stockholm’s bustling city life, in alleys, on streets, and in squares. Bike couriers pass each other, freshly painted facades stand side by side with old, weathered houses, and historic landmarks stand firmly where they have always stood. Author and photographer Kadhammar takes us on his journey of discovery, equipped with his cell phone camera and a compelling narrative voice.
