  • Description

Human history is characterized by a long series of breakthroughs. Some have fundamentally changed the conditions for societies and individuals, while others have made life easier. We can only know what constitutes a breakthrough in hindsight. Sometimes it is a clear leap forward, but often a gradual process where the broad impact only occurs once the innovation has become widespread.

In this captivating and richly illustrated book, the authors highlight some twenty breakthroughs—which have changed people’s daily lives but also their view of themselves. The historical perspective, as well as the people behind these breakthroughs and their motivations, are highlighted. Join us on a journey through time and space where each story begins with the historical moments and the people behind them.

Authors: Henrik Berggren & Eva Krutmeijer
