Museum is a shelf designed by TAF Architects for the National Museum in Stockholm, and manufactured by Swedish company String Furniture. Ahead of the opening of the newly renovated Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, the design and architecture studio TAF and String Furniture were commissioned to develop a console shelf for the artistic collaboration NM&, a series of products created for the new museum restaurant, and the result was the Museum shelf. It is cast in aluminum, a very light and durable material, and because the shelf and the supporting bracket are cast as a single piece, the shelf is capable of holding heavier objects.

The idea behind Museum was to create a functional and versatile shelf capable of holding the National Museum’s collection of busts. Museum can display artwork, a perfume collection, or a glass of water next to the bed. It also looks stylish to combine several shelves on the same surface to, for example, showcase your home’s art or plant collection in an elegant way.
