Design House Stockholm proudly presents Lisa Larson Yoga – a unique collection of sculptures that unites art with philosophy. Yoga held a significant place in Lisa Larson’s life, and the original figures were created both as a way to memorize yoga poses and as a reminder to set aside time to practice them. The raw, unglazed sculptures capture the interplay between body and soul in a deeply personal tribute to yoga’s power to provide strength, inner stillness, and peace.
Lisa Larson’s yoga sculptures represent her creativity at the most personal level. Four sculptures that play with light and shadow and embody the longing for a deeper connection with oneself. For decades, they stood in her studio as a quiet reminder: Do your yoga!
And Lisa did just that—she practiced her yoga exercises to cultivate a sensory connection with her inner self. Mind, body, and soul united in movement. Lisa Larson truly captured the essence of yoga in her unglazed and raw figures, in the pursuit of perfect balance.
The renowned ceramicist Lisa Larson, known for her stylized and expressive sculptures, collaborated with Design House Stockholm from 2022 until her passing on a project that plays with light and shadow and reflects Larson’s deep and intimate relationship with yoga. The raw, unglazed figures embody the essence of yoga, where each pose expresses both tension and relaxation—a harmonious balance between movement and stillness.
